GoDaddy, the world’s largest domain registrar, has been sold to three private equity firms in a deal valued at $2.25 billion, the company announced late Friday. As a report predicted a week ago, private equity firms KKR & Co., Silver Lake Partners and Technology Crossover Ventures sealed the deal, in which they agreed to take on GoDaddy’s debt. That report indicated 'Go Daddy' would be sold for between $2 billion and $2.5 billion.

It seems to me that we have to learn how to use and how it is affecting SEO and Google ranking of pages with new tools coming online. Recently Google Launches Google+ to Battle Facebook and so far it has had good reviews from those that have had the opportunity to test it. Now Google Analytics & Webmaster Tools have overnight made Google Analytic a necessary tool as against the competitor web site Analytic tools.

Boomberg reported that Microsoft is putting some restrictions on makers of processors used to run the coming Windows tablet-computer operating system, Acer Chairman Wang said.  In the process Microsoft is becoming more like Apple by bringing some hardware discipline to Windows 8 tablets, to the annoyance of OEMs who've had decades of freedom.

According to a IDC report today, the worldwide mobile phone market grew 19.8% year over year in the first quarter of 2011. This fantastic growth was fueled by as expected high smartphone growth, especially in emerging markets, and gains made by market challengers. According to the International Data Corporation (IDC) Worldwide Mobile Phone Tracker, vendors shipped 371.8 million units in 1Q11 compared to 310.5 million units in the first quarter of 2010.

Right now this is only for Google users that reside in the US, have a Google Profile, be logged in and enable +1 to see how it works. Google has done this nearly a year after Facebook Like buttons spread out across the web, Google has announced its own rival, the +1 button. The launches is part of Google’s search engine, allowing you to “+1″ the search results and ads that you like. And in a few months, it is likely to be rolled out in the rest of the world.

James Gosling, the man who created the programming language, Java , has just joined Google . The hire was quite the win for Google, which is currently embroiled in a lawsuit with Java’s owner, Oracle, over some uses of Java in the Android stack. Gosling said in a blog post on the move, “I don’t know what I’ll be working on". IMHO it sounds it could be all politics.
